AREAS OF SIDNEY HUTCHINSON PARK TEMPORARILY CLOSED

***The Southeast corner of Sidney Hutchinson Park is currently CLOSED through September 15, 2024 due to construction/improvements to our park. This area that is closed off is the side where the Community Center is.

***For the safety of the citizens and to prevent any damage to the park that is currently under construction, please do NOT enter this section of the park.

***There are signs and/or caution tape up in the restricted areas. Please DO NOT enter these areas or move the signs/caution tape or go around them.

***There are other areas you may enter the park and the walking trail. You may use Squirrel Crossing, the street alongside the park to enter inside the park as well. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

ASSISTANT CLERK OF COURT

Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with benefits

The Assistant Clerk of Court for the Walker Mayor’s Court will assist the Clerk of Court, City Attorney and Judge with clerical and administrative duties including preparing for court and attending court twice a month. Extensive telephone and in person communications with the public. Candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills along with computer skills. The Assistant Clerk of Court will also collect payments for fines/tickets as well as other duties delegated by the Clerk of Court.

MAGNOLIA DRIVE CLOSURE

Due to previous storm-related washout damage, Magnolia Drive in Walker will be fully closed for repairs starting on or around October 1. A contractor has been selected, and work is scheduled to take approximately 90 calendar days, weather permitting.

This is a full road closure, and all residents are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the repair period. The City of Walker is committed to restoring the roadway as quickly and safely as possible, and we appreciate your patience as this essential work is completed.

Partial road closure on Magnolia Drive. Only one lane open over the canal crossing located just south of Risher Lane. This emergency closure is due to needed road and culvert repair. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause for the homeowners in this area. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this process.
